Genuine Porsche water pump service kit with thermostat and gaskets. A common replacement part on all the M97 powered Porsche cars, such as the 997 911 and 987 Boxster / Cayman vehicles. Most customers see around 60,000 miles of service before needing replacement, although your mileage and results may vary. Common signs include coolant leaks and odor, squeaking or similar noises. Full failure can throw off or damage the accessory drive belt, and related overheating issues can result in severe engine damage. There is typically a very fast progression from minor to major failure, so we typically recommend replacing every 60k regardless of condition. We always recommend replacing the thermostat and housing when replacing the water pump. It’s cheap insurance and goes a long way to ensure proper cooling performance on your Porsche.At Lüfteknic we only recommend, sell and install Genuine Porsche water pumps. Fits M97 Porsche motors. Our deluxe kit (recommended) includes two gallons of Genuine Porsche coolant. This concentrated solution should be mixed to 50/50 with water and should provide enough for you to service and refill the system when performing the waterpump and thermostat replacement. If you are doing additional coolant system service, such as radiator replacement, we typically recommend an additional gallon to keep in reserve in case it is needed.
