The LN Engineering ‘Faultless’ IMS Installation tool kit gives you everything you need to install either any of their IMS bearing update kits, including dual-row, Classic single-row or Pro single-row variants. This tool takes away most of the ‘guesswork’ and chance aspects of alignment out of the procedure and provides a much more accurate alignment and installation process. This is the best tool kit available to help you get the job done. Additionally it is required on the PRO single-row IMS solution kit. You can read more about it here. This tool will also remove the the factory bearing from any of the serviceable M96 engines, either earlier dual-row or the middle range smaller single-row. The later (2006-2008) M97 engines have a similar but larger single-row bearing which cannot be serviced without disassembling the engine.
